st patricks day crochet patterns - beginner's instructions

Crochet is a great hobby to take up. My mom had taught me to cross-stitch as a child but that wouldn't do anymore.

If you can make a granny square you can put them tighter to create just about anything you want. For those wanting to learn to crochet, there are several possibilities to go about it. Make the last round of each square the same color and you will pull them all together in a nice color coordinated project.

When using a substitute yarn make sure the length is the same as the one suggested in the pattern. There is only your yarn and a crochet hook, and possibly a crochet pattern, to carry. Once you make a baby blanket, you may want to try your hand at something larger.

Search the Internet for free crochet patterns. Crochet may seem complicated at first, but is really simple once you learn how.
